Flagship store concept for the largest fan shop at Cologne’s Rheinenergiestadion, the home ground of 1. FC Köln.
The "CLUBHAUS" concept. While the stadium environment is rather cool and functional, the retail experience becomes emotional. The idea of the "CLUBHAUS" is expressed through three distinct yet logically connected worlds: the player´s cabin, the club room as a meeting place, and the football pitch. In the player´s cabin, fans first encounter the jerseys and performance apparel. The club room is a multifunctional space. On one hand, it gives the flocking service a stronger stage through a newly designed counter. On the other, it also becomes a bar — a place to sit, stay, have a drink, play a round of table football, meet others, or gather before starting the stadium tour. The checkout area is located within the world of the football pitch. This is where the classic matchday fan articles are presented: flags, scarves and smaller club items. Wall prints integrate the history and philosophy of the club into the space. The project was developed in cooperation with Harney Retail Development.
